Mila Kunis and Kate McKinnon are BFF Spies in their new comedy, The Spy Who Dumped Me. Check out what they say about teaming up and becoming fast Bff’s!
When you know Kate McKinnon is starring in a new comedy you just know it’s going to be the must-see movie of the summer.
This time, she teams up with Mila Kunis, who is no stranger to comedy, for a new “buddy-spy” film that sees the pair giving James Bond, and possibly Jason Bourne, a run for their money.
Whats it about? In The Spy Who Dumped Me, Audrey (Mila Kunis) and Morgan (Kate McKinnon), two thirty-year-old best friends in Los Angeles, are thrust unexpectedly into an international conspiracy when Audrey’s ex-boyfriend shows up at their apartment with a team of deadly assassins on his trail. Surprising even themselves, the duo jump into action, on the run throughout Europe from assassins and a suspicious-but-charming British agent, as they hatch a plan to save the world.
The pair, who clearly have a great on-screen chemistry also reveal they are friends off screen too, sharing a weird sense of humour. “We have a lot of fun, it’s back and forth,” McKinnon tells News.Com. “Puns are the funniest thing, other than…“
“Lowbrow humour!” Mila breaks in. “You and I see the same things. That’s what it is. You and I see the same stuff and then we start laughing, and then it’s bad.”
Check out this featurette in which Kunis and McKinnon and cast take us behind the scenes of The Spy Who Dumped Me.
The Spy Who Dumped me hits theatres August 3.
