This week on, Emily brings her group of meatheads to Croatia, where the producers try their hardest to create drama.

Most people have been asking for more drama on The Bachelorette. Well, it came via Arie whose recently-revealed past relationship with a Bachelorette producer caused Emily grave concern. When Arie got the first one-one-date with Emily last night, almost immediately Chris Harrison showed up on camera to deliver one of his serious monologues to viewers. In the interest of ratings full disclosure, he let us know that Arie hooked up had a brief relationship with one of their producers about a hundred years ago.

The manufactured drama continued when the producer in question did a boring interview with Emily about this fling. They then cut to Chris Harrison again, who let us know that Arie, the producer and Emily had a discussion off camera and all was good. Phew! Non-issue Crisis averted. The date ended with Arie and Emily making out while watching fireworks

The second date went to John “Wolf.” Nothing much happened on this date and it seemed like John was on his way out the door until he opened up about his ex-girlfriend that cheated on him. I guess nothing gets Emily’s juices going more than vulnerability.

Later, when the group date card arrived, Chris sulked when he found out that he was yet again going out with a group, while Sean was a little more proactive. He ran through the streets of Prague yelling Adrian! “Emily!” until he got her to make out with him give him some special attention.

On the date, Emily yet again gave Doug the chance to make a move. Doug just sat there with his arms crossed and almost flinched when he accidentally brushed up against her leg. At this point, Emily had enough and took him outside in the rain to dump him, but not before Doug went in for a last ditch kiss. As Doug was leaving, he acknowledged that he was “a day late and a dollar short” with his big move.

With Doug’s departure, the three-on-one date became a two-on-one and Chris sulked even more when Sean got the rose.

Next up, Emily took her little brother Jef with one “f’ out for a one-on-date. They awkwardly acted out all of their previous dates with puppets. Jef also showed that he would make a great big brother father figure for Ricki by running back to the store to buy her a puppet. They then layed on the floor and played barbies talked about marriage, kids and family.

At the rose ceremony, Chris interrupted to plead his case to Emily. It worked and Emily sent John home. Next week, Emily’s journey continues when she goes to the men’s home towns to meet their families. Let’s hope at least one of these families are nuts.
